Q In your own words, identify and explain Morgan's thesis/purpose for writing the article. What was Morgan trying to prove or convince you of by writing this?
In the article “Some Could Suckle Over Their Shoulder: European Depictions of Indigenous Women” written by Jennifer Morgan, she argues that African American women suffered from racism because of the stereotypical thought about women and her body that was narrated by various European travelers. In fact, the start of racial issues towards the African Americans was because the European travelers who saw women in a certain way that could have been the reason for the successful work in the plantations.
